The Venue...
Wiston House, Steyning
We are incredibly fortunate to be able to invite you all to celebrate our becoming Husband and Wife in such an idylic, traditional country house set at the foot of the rolling Sussex Downland near to where we live.
The manor of Wistanestun is an ancient place, mentioned in the Domesday Book and we are pleased our wedding day will become part of its history. Wiston House itself nestles in fifteen acres of formal garden surrounded by a further five thousand acres of parkland.
The resplendant Sixteenth century Great Hall, with Mistrels Gallery, ornate plasterwork and elaborate fireplace will be location where we bring our families and friends together as we become Mr and Mrs.
The dramatic oak panelled library is contrasted by a stunning Victorian Conservatory which leads to the terraced lawns, rolling parkland and formal Italian gardens - and for those of you with a keen eye for detail you may find 'Jane', a small 'cheeky' drawing located in house revealing a secret from when the Canadian Army took up residence during the war.
Getting There...
Parking
There is plenty of free parking at Wiston House. The driveway from the main road is 1.2 miles long and when you are close to the house you will have to pass through security.

Train
Shoreham-by-Sea is there nearest station 20 minutes from Wiston House and there is a taxi rank outside.
Please pre-book a taxi to collect you at the end of the night otherwise you could be in for a wait!

There space for one helicopter at Wiston House with a dedicated space for landing - look for the large 'H'.

Staying Over...
Wiston House
There are 48 bedrooms available at the house, 20 of which are in the main house; the remainder being in cottages a short walk from the house.
